Crowdfunding ad infinitum.
Greetings Citizens,

We’ve hit another record-setting crowd funding level: $41 million!

I’m incredibly happy to hit this goal as it green-lights a very important research project aimed at improving Star Citizen’s long term future. With this funding, we’ll be looking into procedural generation to help build the universe out in a greater detail and scope in ways we didn’t think possible when we started developing the game! We will have some exciting announcements to make down the line involving some of the talent we’ve been talking to about helping us with procedural system and planet building.

Procedural Generation R&D Team – This stretch goal will allocate funding for Cloud Imperium to develop procedural generation technology for future iterations of Star Citizen. Advanced procedural generation will be necessary for creating entire planets worth of exploration and development content. A special strike team of procedural generation-oriented developers will be assembled to make this technology a reality.

Nu sunt atat de pesimist, dar mi se pare ca ambitiile sunt excesive. It almost sounds like the perfect dream project as far as it looks right now, lol.

Posibil, dar Quackers pare cert. Eu sunt curios cum vor fi vânzările, adică... dacă toată lumea îl finanțează cine îl mai cumpără?

Gameplay-ul nou din Dogfighting Module imi ridica sperante minime, dar la ritmul in care se misca si ce si-au propus... e inca foarte posibil ca vapor-ul sa mai dureze doi ani.

I'll get into it at one point, e mult de zis, dar pe scurt, cand te uiti la monetizari si la ce strategii de marketing folosesc, pentru un joc care nici nu e inca lansat...

Side by side urmaresc si Eternity-ul lu' Obsidian si acolo vad niste progrese serioase si palpabile. Aici am vazut doua fix un tech demo extraordinar de simplu cu Hangaru si acest nou Dogfighting module. Nimic ce o echipa de trei-patru oameni nu ar putea sa faca in trei luni. Dar avem aproape update-uri saptamanale, in cadre profesionale cu discutii pie-in-the-sky legate de ce 'moa ce misto ar fi sa'.

It all just smells like a huge PR stunt. Au 40 de milioane de dolari.. cu 40 de milioane de dolari ai fi funded si developed toate hiturile mari de gaming de pe Kickstarter pana acuma, de la Wasteland 2 la Eternity la Torment.

Mie mi se pare că fix la PR nu se pricep, lucru destul de comun printre studiourile ce au avut kickstartere. Nu știu, poate o dau în bara, e foarte posibil cu un astfel de proiect, dar comparația e total aiurea, cu 40 de milioane hiturile ălea arătau complet altfel și nu erau gata până acum. Și nici nu poți compara organizarea unei companii cu vechime, cu una înființată acum 3 ani care s-a văzut cu mult mai mult decât s-au așteptat.

În rest, eu personal nu prea sunt de acord cu finanțarea asta continuă, cred că din cauza asta se vor întinde până naiba știe când pentru a-l lansa. Dar nici nu l-am urmărit îndeaproape să știu dacă și-au respectat programul până acum.

Star Citizen Dogfighting Module Delayed Again
“Game developers classify bugs based on their severity: blockers, critical, major, moderate and minor. The most serious of these, blockers, are bugs that completely prevent the game from working and from being in a releasable state. Unfortunately, as of tonight, there are still two blockers and half a dozen critical issues (which we would like to fix before launch). Our biggest issue today is a newly developed DirectX crash which breaks the single player Vanduul Swarm mode every backer will be given access to. It would be foolish to release an unstable build, even if pre-alpha for the sake of meeting an internal deadline.”

“In order to keep our backers as informed as possible, I’m asking the production team to provide DAILY updates for the community until Arena Commander V0.8 ships. This will be the raw stuff: lists of bugs and other information to tell you the current health of the build. You will see the same information I do, and you will be able to follow as we resolve each ‘blocker’ preventing the build’s release.”

Salut sunt multi romani care au Star Citizen ... Aici este si o corporație de romani , intra si tu aici 5RI.
Nu am reușit sa te găsesc după Nick sa iți dau invite asa ca aplica tu acolo ...

Am facut si o pagina web starcitizen-romania pentru fanii acestui joc , care , daca v-a fi asa cum se promite , v-a fi un punct de cotitura in industria jocurilor vdeo

m-am uitat si eu la video-ul de mai sus, aia isi pastreaza inertia cand trag cu arma in gravitatie 0... au lucrat la atatea detalii, dar o dau in bara la chestii banale

inerția nu este afectată de gravitația scăzută. Vrei să fii tu năzuros și egii dar o dai în bară de fiecare singură dată. De aici deduc că ești un nene.

asta fiind exact si punctul meu de vedere, problema evidenta fiind ca indivizii din demonstratie aplica o forta rezistenta demna de luat in seama. asadar, sa reluam: uita-te la video-ul pus de TG pe la min 7:30 si zi-mi si mie in ce legi ale fizicii tragi cu o arma cu recul in spatiu si iti pastrezi aceeasi viteza si directie, in loc sa-ti izbesti teasta de peretele din spatele tau sau in ce abureala de locatie mai erau aia.
