MatPat played a game called Heartbound for GT Live. He got the developers name wrong in the video. The video is presenting the game as a successor or heavily related to Undertale and has made people think Toby Fox made the game, when he didn’t. MatPat was called out by Pirate Software, the devs, on Twitter for having more undertale hashtags than heartbound hashtags and having links pointing to Undertale content, and none to the game or the developers. MatPat blamed this on his team. Toby Fox called him out in turn for the lot of it.

All of Machinima's videos were removed without any prior warning
This comes as a result of a planned merger with Ellation, which is a part of Otter Media, which is actually a division of AT&T and WarnerMedia.
AT&T and WarnerMedia opted to functionally erase thousands of hours of content (the videos were technically set to private, but they're essentially gone): "Warner, at this point, cannot verify the copyrights to all videos in Machinima's network -- and there are a ton of videos," he says. "It'd cost a lot of money to do it, and this is on videos that aren't getting any views. So, they cut it loose. That's that. It's a business. That's how it goes, man."

Machinima e o mizerie din ce-am auzit. Naspa de video-urile celor pe care ii exploata.

Over the past 48 hours I have discovered a wormhole into a soft-core pedophilia ring on Youtube. Youtube’s recommended algorithm is facilitating pedophiles’ ability to connect with each-other, trade contact info, and link to actual CP in the comments. I can consistently get access to it from vanilla, never-before-used Youtube accounts via innocuous videos in less than ten minutes, in sometimes less than five clicks.. Additionally, I have video evidence that these videos are being monetized by Youtube, brands like McDonald’s, Lysol, Disney, Reese’s, and more. This loophole is wrong, something needs to be done. Its's being monetized. CP is being traded as well as social media and WhatsApp addresses. Youtube is facilitating this problem. It doesn't matter that they flag videos and turn off the comments, these videos are still being monetized, and more importantly they are still available for users to watch.

The Final Version of the EU's Copyright Directive Is the Worst One Yet
The Copyright Directive was always a grab bag of updates to EU copyright rules—which are long overdue for an overhaul, given that it's been 18 years since the last set of rules were ratified. Some of its clauses gave artists and scientists much-needed protections: artists were to be protected from the worst ripoffs by entertainment companies, and scientists could use copyrighted works as raw material for various kinds of data analysis and scholarship.

Both of these clauses have now been gutted to the point of uselessness, leaving the giant entertainment companies with unchecked power to exploit creators and arbitrarily hold back scientific research.

Having dispensed with some of the most positive versions of the Directive, the trilogues have also managed to make the (unbelievably dreadful) bad components of the Directive even worse.

Senate demands Google CEO answer for hidden Nest microphone
The US Senate Commerce Committee wants explanations from Google CEO Sundar Pichai about a recent controversy at Nest, the smart-home device company Google owns.

Last week, the search giant drew criticism because its Nest Secure hub, a web-connected home security system, includes a microphone, but it was never disclosed in hardware specs, marketing materials or on Nest's website.

The microphone's existence became apparent after Google announced earlier this month it was bringing its Assistant software to the Nest Secure. The Assistant, which lets people check flight information or turn off the lights in their houses, relies heavily on voice commands -- and a microphone -- when its on devices without screens.

At the time, Google said it was an "error" that the microphone was omitted from the product specs. The company also said the mic has never been activated.

But that hasn't satisfied committee members, who wrote a letter to Pichai demanding more information.

^ James O'Keefe, acest Mihai Gâdea al editării video necinstite, ne servește o revelație șocantă: mesajele private din Twitter sunt accesibile admin-ilor. Și au echipe care le citesc în anumite condiții. No shit.

Apropo, eu și ceilalți admini ai forumului v-am putea citi mesajele private dacă am compune niște query-uri în MySQL. Senzațional.

Cum să-l iei în serios pe individul ista când vezi cum îi sunt compuse „dezvăluirile”?
