De la dezvoltatorii lui Faster than Light și Chris Avellone vine Into the Breach, un TBS procedural cu battle mechs.

The remnants of human civilization are threatened by gigantic creatures breeding beneath the earth. You must control powerful mechs from the future to hold off this alien threat. Each attempt to save the world presents a new randomly generated challenge in this turn-based strategy game from the makers of FTL.

Key Features:
  • Defend the Cities: Civilian buildings power your mechs. Defend them from the Vek and watch your fire!
  • Perfect Your Strategy: All enemy attacks are telegraphed in minimalistic, turn-based combat. Analyze your opponent's attack and come up with the perfect counter every turn.
  • Build the Ultimate Mech: Find powerful new weapons and unique pilots as you battle the Vek infestation across Corporate-Nation islands.
  • Another Chance: Failure is not an option. When you are defeated, send help back through time to save another timeline!

Nu am jucat un minut din el, dar a fost instabuy. Nu-mi fac probleme, probabil stau 8 ore în primul sitting. În FTL cred că am mai mult decât în toate Dark Souls-urile combinate. Can't go wrong with this one.

Jocul e foarte ok imho, sunt destul de impresionat de ce le-a iesit. Ai elementele de rogue lite explicate in lore, ceea ce mi se pare simpatic. Dar de departe cea mai mare realizare a lor e UI-ul, este probabil cel mai informativ si aerisit pe care le-am vazut intr-un joc de strategie.

Jocul s-ar putea să-i dezamăgească pe cei care așteaptă un nou FTL. Into The Breach e un alt fel de joc, făcut pe un calapod mai puțin „roguey”. Are mai puține elemente generate procedural sau acțiuni ale căror rezultate să fie hotărâte de zar. Prin urmare, nu e la fel de necruțător și frustrant ca FTL. Pe easy e chiar ușor de parcurs.

E un fel de șah cu mechs și goange uriașe pe o tablă cu pătrățele destructibile. Mie îmi place până acum, dar are potențialul să devină monoton pe termen lung.

Nu aștepta nimeni FTL - doar că ăla, pe lângă elementul 'Random' are cele mai amuzante bătălii între nave ever. Și au fost nume mari care au încercat. Dar nu, au reușit ăștia. De aia, așteptarea mea nu era FTL 2 (nici nu aș vrea așa ceva vreodată) ci încă o lecție de game design.

E corect intr-o anumita masura, dar sunt atatea combinatii de mechs/piloti posibile incat ai destule motive de a tot juca. Eu momentan vreau sa descui toate squad-urile standard pentru ca apoi sa-mi pot face de cap cu combinatii de mechs.

Major Additions

Other Changes

Optional Content Toggles
- All of the new content (enemies, pilot skills, etc) other than balance changes are possible to turn off if you would like the base-game content experience.
Weapon reactor usage reduced
- We wanted to encourage players to immediately try out equipment they find, so we reduced the reactor power to equip most gear.
Store Changes
- Since you can now instantly equip most weapons without needing an additional reactor core, the reputation cost to purchase weapons has increased by 1 and the store options are limited in the first 2 islands.
New weapon mechanic: KO effects
- Certain weapons will trigger an additional effect if the primary target is killed by the attack.
New tile mechanic: Cracking
- Certain weapons will cause the ground to crack. If the tile is damaged again, it will shatter, destroying the tile and anything standing on it!
New status effect: Boost
- This will increase the next attack’s damage by 1. Highly effective for AoE attacks!
Unlocking Squads with Coins Change
- The cost of unlocking squads with coins has been reduced to account for the extra squads.
