New York, NY – June 1, 2015 – 2K and Firaxis Games today announced that XCOM® 2, the sequel to the Game of the Year* award-winning strategy title XCOM®: Enemy Unknown, is currently in development for Windows-based PC.
Twenty years have passed since world leaders offered an unconditional surrender to alien forces and XCOM, the planet's last line of defense, was left decimated and scattered. Now the aliens rule Earth, building shining cities that promise a brilliant future for humanity on the surface, while concealing a sinister agenda below and eliminating all who dissent from their new order.

Only those who live at the edges of the world have a margin of freedom. Here, a force gathers once again to stand up for humanity. Always on the run, the remnant XCOM forces must find a way to rise from the ashes, expose the insidious truth behind the occupation, and eliminate the alien threat once and for all.

Viitorul se prezinta in colturi. Literalmente. "Armurile" pare ceva desprinse dintr-un "work in progress" pentru Mass Effect.

Asta nu e o problema, si X-Com a avut un stil artistic mai minimalist. Dar eu sunt sigur ca si jocul in sine va fi minimalist si cu mai putine feature-uri, urmand ca expansion-urile sa il faca un joc mai rasarit. Oricum nu e ca si cum ne ia cineva Endless War-ul si mai ales avem mari sanse sa avem un Endless War 2 daca tot o sa ofere mod support cei de la Firaxis

Nu ma refer la cata atentie se va acorda detaliilor, doar ca mi se pare ceva bizar in a asocia viitorul la colturi si neoane. What is this, Tron? Are we 12 all over again? Doar minorilor le plac chestiile cu unghiuri; cand dau de porn si/sau fete adevarate, incep sa apreciez liniile curbe.

Pornache e cum arată remake-ul XCOM şi implicit şi XCOM 2 faţă de grafica din UFO 1 şi 2. Poate e şi chestia că la un joc de tactică îmi plac formele mai simple şi bine definite, care să nu distragă exagerat de mult de la gândit. Vezi doar cum arată revopsirea de Frozen Synapse, mi-a părut ceva greţos comparativ cu minimalismul originalului, care mai mult a dăunat atmosferei şi jucabilităţii. Sau cel puţin aşa grăit-a minorul din mine. Decât s-o dea în detaliere masturbatorie, mai bine aşa.

Dar orice păcate i se pot găsi - şi sunt destul de multe - reboot-ul ăsta e unul pe cinste. L-am jucat cu aceeaşi plăcere şi pe PC, şi pe telefon. Firaxis au liber din partea mea la porcăială, oricum îi ţine masa, cu atâtea fapte bune la activ.

Sunt sigur ca ala e un grunt de nivel minim, un peon, practic. Cred ca ceilalti inamici au si armuri, si sacouri. Dar hei, orice motiv merge ca sa ne oparim un pic in legatura cu un joc nelansat inca, nu? :D

Asta e si grija mea. XCOM (primu remake adica) a avut arme si personaje ok - cel putin pentru durata unui joc, poate cam putine varietati de extraterestri... dar principala problema din perspectiva mea a fost gama redusa de niveluri. Si coltzurozitatea lor. Si nu ma refer la cladiri (cu toate ca si acolo erau coltzuri cat cuprinde... mai ales supermarketu ala sa-mi bag pla de era un singur model - idee excelenta, local unde treci zi de zi blablabla dar hai sa fim seriosi, era asa greu sa faca 2 supermarketuri? Sau macar unul sa fie rural? fuck this) ci la nivelurile in sine, care pareau niste labirinturi de carton (mai ales alea lungi gen autostrada). Doar misiunile de escorta la limuzina (gradina japoneza) si nava mare cazuta in padure (aia mica de fapt era o autostrada de copaci cu ozn la capat) erau mai stimulative... parca baetii au facut economie si la randomizarea elementelor din nivel, nu numai la level designeri. Sper din toata inima ca XCOM 2 sa dreaga busuiocu''

Wot I Think: XCOM 2
Enduring extended loadtimes and the occasional wonky camera angle is a small price to pay for a game so accomplished. XCOM 2 is an improvement on its predecessor in every way and the vast majority of those improvements have been applied so intelligently that they risk making Enemy Unknown obsolete. That game was a smart remake of a classic. XCOM 2 is a classic in its own right and as good a sequel as I can remember.

L-am butonat un pic, aduce îmbunătățiri considerabile față de primul joc. Desigur, ca adâncime nu are rost să îl comparăm cu orginalele.

Ce vreau însă să menționez este că performance-ul e atroce. 980ti și nu pot ține 60fps constant, și asta fără maximum settings!
