Moons of Madness

"Though light on outright scares, this atmospheric sci-fi thriller set on Mars may be the most cosmic Lovecraftian horror adventure ever, and a compelling one at that."
The Good:
Different take on source material by making Lovecraftian horror actually cosmic
Well-executed heightening of tension
Interesting station environments and Martian set pieces to explore
Immersion aided by great visuals and soundscape
The Bad:
May not provide the level of genuine scares or challenge some will hope for
Multiple main characters voiced by same actress
Our Verdict:
Moons of Madness ditches the cold New England setting of Lovecraft’s eldritch tales for the dry, arid wastelands of Mars, and what results is a textbook example of how “cosmic” cosmic horror truly can be.
