A Fisherman’s Tale

Post by ola small dickie »

"This charming VR exclusive shines like a beacon of originality with its clever worlds-within-worlds premise and associated lighthouse puzzles."

The Good:

Expertly implemented sound and art design
Thoughtful puzzles using a smart mechanic, particularly effective in VR
Distinctive setting and premise make for an unforgettable experience
Fun, dramatic changes make the gameplay feel varied even in such a confined environment

The Bad:

Doesn’t take full advantage of the virtual environment
Insistent narrator can become a bother if you don’t complete the game at its preferred pace

Our Verdict:

While falling slightly short of its full interactive potential, A Fisherman’s Tale is a unique experience, lovingly and charmingly crafted with a clever premise, solid puzzles and the poignant feel of a Pixar movie.
