There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension

Post by ola small dickie »

"There is no review of a non-game that isn't a brilliantly hilarious deconstruction of various genres while still not remaining a delightfully clever outside-the-box adventure at heart."

The Good:

Packed so full of challenging, unconventional and unexpected design choices that you’ll never know what’s coming next
Constantly finds new ways to metamorphose across genres while remaining an adventure at heart
Laugh-out-loud writing and nearly perfect voice acting
Contains a plethora of visual, musical and gameplay styles that work together wonderfully

The Bad:

A bit too liberal with un-asked-for hints
Some attempts at humor fall flat

Our Verdict:

There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension takes the rulebook for what a game can and should do and sets it on fire, practically reinventing the entire medium in the process. Unceasingly hilarious, ludicrously entertaining, and utterly unique, it will remind you why you play games while forcing you to reconsider every aspect of what that means.
