Embracelet

Post by ola small dickie »

"This lovely, low-poly Norwegian island adventure is a storytelling gem that outshines most of its bigger-budgeted contemporaries."

The Good:

Masterful storytelling with well-developed characters you want to spend time with
Beautiful low-poly graphics and animation
Satisfying magic bracelet mechanic used creatively to craft puzzles
A moving and rewarding ending

The Bad:

Keyboard movement control is somewhat awkward
An out-of-place flashback interrupts the otherwise expert pacing
A few infrequent bugs remain

Our Verdict:

Embracelet doesn’t offer much challenge, it’s a welcome change of pace from the norm, and the simplicity of its gameplay and beautiful low-poly presentation nicely serve an elegantly told, astoundingly good story.
