Gibbous: a Comedy Cosmic Horror Adventure Made in Transylvania

Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure is a point and click our small team of three devs has been working on for the past year. What's the connection between Dead Cthulhu and the Necronomicon turning a random black cat into a talking abomination? That's something you'll be able to find out when we release, early 2018!

We love 90s Lucas Arts adventure games, and Gibbous is very much a love letter and tribute to them, from the lovingly hand-painted background art to the traditionally animated characters and quirky dialogue... But with an overarching cosmic horror vibe! With upward of 50 fully voiced characters, it's going to feel like an authentic, lived-in world indeed.

Gibbous is heavily inspired by the work of HP Lovecraft, and will feature countless nods to the cosmic horror genius' work.

Arata foarte bine! Voice acting-ul tot nu ma convinge dar l-au adus pe Doug Cockle deci ne0lith o sa fie incantat de jocul asta.

Vorbim cu Liviu despre jocuri, despre cum a început el să lucreze la un joc care va fi lansat cât de curând, și despre alte proiecte de-ale lui.

foarte misto interviul si liviu boar pare a pretty cool guy, mi-au placut referintele lui la alte jocuri adventure vechi si noi

ceva m-a speriat insa putin si probabil e singura grija pe care o am legata de jocul asta. referinta lui la Paradigm ("Paradigm – sheer hilarious insanity") si faptul ca Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure o sa fie un joc axat in mare parte pe umor. Umorul in jocuri poate sa fie foarte hit ori foarte miss. Paradigm a fost un mega miss pt mine in ceea ce priveste umorul. A fost factorul care mi-a stricat toata experienta. Sper sa nu fie cazul si la Gibbous.

The Good:
+ Incredible art design and animation
+ Wacky sense of humour
+ Good voice acting from two of the three main characters
+ Some clever, satisfying puzzles

The Bad:
- Story is convoluted and hard to follow
- Dialogue can sometimes sound unnatural
- Grating voice acting from the third protagonist and some supporting characters
- Entirely unsatisfactory ending

Nu pot continua cu subtitrari in romana, creierul meu asteapta subtitrari in engleza langa voci in engleza, si ramane confuz Misto ca exista, insa.

Se observa rapid ca pisica e starul show-ului. Daca o tine tot asa, putin probabil sa-mi displaca jocul.

Am intrat în el.

Tre sa recunosc, asta e cel mai usor adventure pe care l-am jucat vreodata. Unele solutii sunt date direct in dialoguri, mi se pare chiar enervant. Intr-un fel e cool pentru ca puzzle-urile grele ma fac sa renunt la adventure-uri/sa dau fuga la google dar in alt fel e prea usor asa ca nu ai satisfactie. Broken Sword 1 & 2 au fost singurele care au reusit un echilibru pentru mine.

So... nu l-a mai jucat nimeni? Thoughts?
