Ubisoft will disable online features in 15 games, gamers will lose access to paid DLC

While most of these titles are about a decade old, Space Junkies is a notable outlier, as it launched three years ago. It's a multiplayer-only VR game, and for some reason, Ubisoft is still selling it (for as much as $20) without even mentioning that it will become completely unplayable in two months.

Games Fashion Archive e un site unde poti sa vezi 3D models cu personaje si costumele lor din cateva jocuri, printre care si Genshin Impact.

In Genshin personajele sunt tratate diferit de restul lumii cand vine vorba de lumina si umbre pentru a obtine look-ul specific (i.e. niciodata nu reactioneaza "realist" la lumina, reactioneaza intr-un mod semi-realist setat de artisti). E fix cat trebuie detaliu incat sa fie 3D look dar in acelasi timp super aproape de stilul 2D anime. Comparison (dreapta e in-game):

One of Neil Druckmann’s favorite games, as a kid, was King’s Quest. In fact, he credits Sierra On-Line’s adventure games with helping him to learn English. Decades later, along with director Bruce Straley, they would develop the perpetually celebrated “The Last of Us”. As a nod to the old Sierra games, Neil named co-lead Ellie Williams after Ken and Roberta Williams.

Swen Vincke a clarificat intr-un interviu ca Larian a anulat Divinity: Fallen Heroes. Initial, era doar "suspendat". Si a mentionat ca au lucrat la inca un proiect care a fost anulat. Si se relationa cu Original Sin 2.

TIL compozitorii coloanei sonore din Metro 2033 formeaza un duet de muzica electronica, numit Anthesteria. Printre altele, au compus si coloana sonora dintr-un p&c adventure rusesc obscur, lansat in vest ca "Outcry". Dar titlul original e mai interesant - "Sublustrum". Nu se mai gaseste de cumparat pe nicaieri (in afara de Amazon, tehnic vb), deci presupun ca e abandonware. And that, you can find.

Iar ăsta e playthrough-ul la care se referă: CannibalK9: Let's Play The Void / Tension - mare păcat că e înregistrat la 480p, fiindcă altfel este excelent și arată o mulțime de easter eggs.

Radiance cascades are a novel data structure with unusually effective scaling parameters where rays get exponentially cheaper with every new cascade, which is possible because instead of casting rays explicitly, radiance cascades instead store radiance intervals that can be combined into rays when needed, which has proven to be much more efficient. Such approach relies on a fundamental assumption about inherent structure of radiance fields, the penumbra hypothesis that ties together spatial and angular discretization frequency of typical radiance fields intervals that allows discretizing them very efficiently. While it might be possible to construct synthetic cases for which this hypothesis breaks, in practice it seems to hold most of the time.
