Amazon's Antitrust Paradox by Lina M. Khan

De pe wiki-ul ei:
While still a law student at Yale University, she became a public figure in 2017 when her article in the Yale Law Journal, Amazon's Antitrust Paradox, made a significant impact in American legal and business circles. The New York Times described it as "reframing decades of monopoly law".

In the article, Khan argued that the current American antitrust law framework, which focuses on keeping consumer prices down, cannot account for the anticompetitive effects of platform-based business models such as that of Amazon. She proposed alternative approaches for doing so: "restoring traditional antitrust and competition policy principles or applying common carrier obligations and duties."

This website is part of a campaign to better forecast, address and respond to pro-Kremlin disinformation. The ‘EU versus Disinformation’ campaign is run by the European External Action Service East Stratcom Task Force. The team was set up after the EU Heads of State and Government stressed the need to challenge Russia’s ongoing disinformation campaigns in March 2015. Read more about the team here.
What do we do

We and our partners produce the weekly Disinformation Review through which we have identified and compiled on our database over 3,800 disinformation cases since September 2015 (figure from spring 2018). This site is the only publicly accessible, international database of disinformation cases. It is supported and promoted by our EUvsDisinfo Facebook page and Twitter account. Although we list the outlets where such disinformation has appeared, we do not necessarily imply that the outlet concerned is linked to the Kremlin or pro-Kremlin, or that it has intentionally sought to disinform. The Review analyses messages, not the messenger. If the message is a) false, which is determined by the facts and b) originating and in line with identified pro-Kremlin disinformation messaging, it is included in the product. Read more about the terminology of the Disinformation Review here.

We supplement our database of debunks with a large number of our own analytical articles about various aspects of disinformation. We also collate and recommend many reports, studies and articles by other authors on the subject, which can all be accessed here.

Apart from this publicly available output, we brief and train EU institutions, Member State governments, journalists and researchers on this topic, and participate regularly in conferences to share our experience. Our products are regularly quoted and used by politicians, governments, state agencies, researchers, think tanks and journalists across Europe and beyond.

Welp, uite acum-acum implinesc 20 de ani vechime in comunitatea LEVEL. Ma bucur ca mi-am descoperit noul custom title de sarbatoare.

Mia Khalifa: Porn contracts 'prey on vulnerable girls'
She is one of the most-viewed porn stars of all time - but Mia says that didn't necessarily equate to payment.

She says she made around $12,000 (£9,900) during her time performing and "never saw a penny again after that".
wtf?
