Stiri interesante
Re: Stiri interesante

Facebook launches investigation into claims of political bias
Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg has said the company is investigating claims it censored news reports with conservative viewpoints.
It follows a week of allegations in the media and discussion in the US Senate.
The tech news website Gizmodo had said Facebook staff suppressed articles on conservative topics from the site's "trending" news section and "injected" others, even if they were not trending.
Mr Zuckerberg said Facebook had found no evidence the report was correct.
Gizmodo's original report alleged that staff tampered with trending topic stories and were told to include stories published by the BBC, CNN and other mainstream news organisations ahead of smaller news sites.
The report was followed by a release of documents to The Guardian, which appeared to show editorial decision-making by Facebook staff, alongside the company's algorithm, to determine what is trending.
Additionally, Gizmodo reported that employees are told to put stories deemed as important by management in the trending news feed, even if they aren't actually very popular. Sources cited the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack in Paris, events in the Syrian conflict, and the Black Lives Matter movement as instances where employees artificially added stories into the trending topics list.

Facebook had been coming under increasing pressure to make its processes more transparent before the release of documents to The Guardian.
Republican Senator John Thune, chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee, asked if the company was misleading the public about its news features.
"Social networks such as Facebook are an increasingly important source of news for many Americans and people around the world," he said.

Re: Stiri interesante
Asa cum rusii aveau planuri sa puiasca nomazi si sa-i trimita peste stramtoare in Alaska, ca sa colonizeze America, asa si turcii pot sa trimita "nomazi" in Germania, ca sa colonizeze Europa. Chestia este ca nu a fost nevoie de vreo tactica secreta - germanii i-au chemat de buna voie, acum cateva zeci de ani. Asa ca face bine sa fii pregatit, sa ai mereu cativa Osmanoglu pregatiti sa plece in peregrinaj.

Islamic terrorism tie eyed in Orlando gay bar shooting
LE: "50 dead" in Orlando club shooting and a "state of emergency" has been declared - MayorA shooting and hostage situation early Sunday morning at a Florida nightclub -- which describes itself as "Orlando's hottest gay bar" -- left "around 20" people dead, including the gunman, officials say
Police sources have identified the gunman in the mass shooting at a gay club in Florida as 30-year-old Omar Mateen, an American citizen whose parents are from Afghanistan, according to US media reports.
A U.S. intelligence source told CBS news senior investigative producer Pat Milton that Islamic terrorism is being investigated as a possible motive in the shooting due to several indicators including the style of the attack, which had similarities to the attacks in Paris in November 2015 and Brussels in March. The gunman put up a protracted gun battle with police and was heavily armed, the source said.
