Critic o prostie. Asta nu înseamnă că recomand Twitter. Recomand Mastodon, pentru descentralizare. Pentru privacy, vezi alte categorii de software: https://www.privacytools.io/#im

baneaza-ma si gata
Nu-i de ban.

Facebook’s Data Deals Are Under Criminal Investigation
Federal prosecutors are conducting a criminal investigation into data deals Facebook struck with some of the world’s largest technology companies, intensifying scrutiny of the social media giant’s business practices as it seeks to rebound from a year of scandal and setbacks.

A grand jury in New York has subpoenaed records from at least two prominent makers of smartphones and other devices, according to two people who were familiar with the requests and who insisted on anonymity to discuss confidential legal matters. Both companies had entered into partnerships with Facebook, gaining broad access to the personal information of hundreds of millions of its users.

Spoiler for shady link:
https://quickremovevirus.com/how-to-rem ... ect-guide/

Must be MS's second cousin - Microshaft.

No fooling: Reddit’s r/games goes silent for one day to call out hate, bigotry

Thread-ul pe reddit:”/r/Games is closed for April Fool’s. Find out why in here!”
Unfortunately, this inflammatory content is not an infrequent occurrence. The condescending, dismissive, vindictive and pessimistic attitudes we see in our day to day activity is troubling, especially when those interactions involve harassing or outright targeting regularly discriminated communities. It’s not uncommon for us to see the real issues surrounding these communities be trivialized, derided out of ignorance, or worse, for the sake of entertainment.

To that end, we want to show you, the community, what we mean by “what we see”. These are some of the more awful comments we see regarding transphobia, homophobia, islamophobia, racism, misogyny, pro-pedophilia/pro-rape, and vitriolic personal attacks against other users. These kinds of comments occur on a daily basis. We’ve compiled an entire album of examples of the horrible things people say on this subreddit. From bigotry to vitriol, this album merely scratches the surface of the magnitude of the problem.

In the interest of providing examples, we elected to remove the usernames from these comments; instead, our intent is to show the stark reality that we face on a daily basis in the overall effort to provide a welcoming and responsive community. Preventing the cultivation of bigotry means giving it no ground to go to, and as a whole leave only space for those who would respectfully participate. We must closely examine our own communities, in an effort to encourage acceptance and inclusion, to foster a healthy community in which we value empathy and respect.
Sunt link-uri cu exemple în postul original.
For those curious, yes we will have a meta thread for a discussion when the sub reopens. Stay tuned tomorrow for that.

Facebook asked some users for their email passwords, because why not

In new gaffe, Facebook improperly collects email contacts for 1.5 million
Facebook said the email contact collection was the result of a highly flawed verification technique that instructed some users to supply the password for the email address associated with their account if they wanted to continue using Facebook. Security experts almost unanimously criticized the practice, and Facebook dropped it as soon as it was reported.

Facebook has said it didn't store the passwords, but in yet another Facebook privacy blunder disclosed last month, the company confirmed that it improperly stored hundreds of millions of user passwords in plain text rather than as cryptographic hashes. Hashes are long strings of random-looking text that are generated by passing a password, message, or file through an algorithm. Because hashes can't be cryptographically reversed, security experts say they are the only secure way to store them.

Is this real life? Also, remember this?

Deci asta este pur phishing.
