The screenshots are from a beta to preview, which was completed on September 9. It was released to close partners of Microsoft on the Microsoft Connect platform available. Internally, the system reports as Windows 6.4 Build 9834, Windows 8.1, the version number 6.3 in 9600. It should be the last beta, which will be published before the release of a test version.

Microsoft is expected to deliver a "Windows Technical Preview" at the event or soon after so that developers and enterprise customers can evaluate a number of changes the company is making.
