Blood Bowl 2 today unveils a brand new series of screenshots, presenting the Dwarf teams and their stadium! Blood Bowl 2 will also be presented next week at E3 in Los Angeles, at Focus Home Interactive's booth (West Hall Booth 5512).

While Humans and Orcs have been joyfully tearing each other apart for a few weeks now (watch the ‘First Match’ trailer), it’s time for the 3rd of the 8 races of Blood Bowl 2 to make - despite a modest size - a triumphal entry.
Their beards freshly trimmed and their Bugman’s Beer mug locked to their belt, the Dwarfs finally enter the pitch of their newly inaugurated stadium! One thing is for sure: they’re definitely not here to play the ball, and the Human team who have the honour (or misfortune) to face them first will certainly testify to that.

Blood Bowl 2 is even more ambitious than its predecessor in all aspects of the game, with numerous extra features and the highest production values. Its brand new graphic engine has been specifically developed for this sequel and displays the game’s high-quality visuals and superb graphics and sound effects that raise the license to the next level. The animations, the dynamic cameras enhancing the brutal atmosphere of the matches, the "Cabalvision" identity and the commentator duo of Jim Johnson and Bob
Bifford faithfully convey the thrills and fury so typical of the intense clashes in Blood Bowl.

Blood Bowl 2 includes a host of new features in both Solo and Multiplayer mode that also make the game more accessible. The ambitious Solo campaign puts players in charge of one the most famous teams in the world of Blood Bowl to compete in some unconventional and truly unique
matches to take their team to the top, while “League” mode allows you to manage your own team, club and even stadium! Finally, the game achieves a greater tactical depth in Multiplayer mode with fabulous innovations that we will release very soon and which guarantee to drive the players wild!

The Marketplace is an all-new feature in Blood Bowl 2. It will allow you to buy or sell Blood Bowl players from, and to other coaches in multiplayer. This new mechanic in Blood Bowl 2 has two main goals: first, to deepen the interactions between coaches; and second, to open brand new opportunities for them to develop their teams.

Now how will it all work?

The Marketplace will be open during the leagues’ transfer windows. During these periods, you will be able to put up for sale one (or more) of your players, asking for whatever amount of Gold you wish (minimum being the base price of that player).

Other coaches will then be able to put up their offers. Highest bid will always be visible to everyone, letting you try and outbid in order to win the auction! All offers will be done using one of your team’s Gold treasury, knowing that of course only an Orc team will be able to put up an offer for an Orc player!

Now, that was for the selling part! If what you’re looking to buy, you’ll be able to browse through the current players up for sale, and if you’re picky about who you want to buy, you’ll be able to filter the specific kind of player you want, and you’ll be presented the offers who fit the best your requirements.
You might also be interested in a specific player who hasn’t been put up for sale by the owner? Well, you’ll be able to send private offers to the coach who owns him… Just be prepared to make an offer that he can’t possibly refuse!

Will there be restrictions to the system?

Of course, there are some restrictions. First, each Marketplace is limited to their current league, and you will only be able to buy/sell players from within your team’s current league. Also, buying and selling players will only be allowed during the transfer windows – it will thus be forbidden in the middle of a competition.

What about microtransactions?

Of course! You’ll be able to- wait wait wait… it’s way past April Fools’ Day!
No, rest assured, there won’t be any microtransaction linked to the marketplace. All player sales will happen with your teams’ gold treasury. That means if you want to buy some top veteran players, win some matches and amass Gold… lots of Gold!
