Darks Souls GFWL to Steam Migration Hits a Setback
GFWL players will be required to redeem GFWL tokens on Steam to get Dark Souls for free. Tokens can still be used after the migration period ends but it’s likely that game save data and achievements transfers will not be possible.

Introducing the Dawn Engine

As you can imagine, the Dawn Engine will form the cornerstone for all Deus Ex Universe projects at Eidos-Montréal. Some of you have had concerns that “Universe” meant “MMO”. Rest assured, it does not.

Ceea ce e foarte tembel pentru ca nu e o scena dictata de joc, ci e o actiune personala a autorului clipului. Mai intelegeam daca zicea asta de Hitman Absolution care e totusi joc linear cu use-case-uri predefinite.

Dar nici Hitman nu te incuraja, ba chiar iti taia din puncte si bani daca incepeai sa omori civili. La GTA nu esti pedepsit prea tare [jocul e destul de iertator totusi, si daca te omoara politia, tot te respawnezi fara nici o problema], dar a spune ca jocul incurajeaza violenta impotriva femeilor e absurd in conditia in care poti la fel de bine sa omori orice alt civil care-ti intra in cale. Daca mai adaugi faptul ca "sexual violence" este un argument scos din cur in petitia aia, si ca daca ar fi fost vorba de asa ceva, jocul nu ar fi avut voie sa fie vandut oriunde in Australia...

Divinity: Original Sin studio is working on two new RPGs

That would be so fucking nice.Vincke revealed that the studio has begun work on two new RPGs, both of which will use the engine created for Divinity: Original Sin, which is one of the reasons work on that game is continuing. "It means that whatever we fix in D:OS, will automatically be present in our new RPGs. It also means that we can spend most of our resources on developing new cool stuff without having to reinvent things that worked well already," he wrote. "And it immediately gives us a rationale for putting unreasonable amounts of effort in fixing the things we didn’t do that well in D:OS, meaning our existing players will continue to get improved gameplay for as long as we can maintain compatibility."
To support that effort, Larian is increasing its headcount and opening a new office in Quebec City to take advantage of "the experience and talent that’s running around there." Vincke acknowledged being "quite apprehensive" about the move, but said, "The commercial success of D:OS has given us an opportunity to make true some of our bigger RPG ambitions and I’ll be damned if we don’t seize that chance. Going all-in paid off in the past so we might as well try again."
