The Good:
Outstanding artwork that feels like a comic book come to life
Creatively integrated second playable character adds welcome depth
Varied gameplay and perfect pacing make the experience consistently engaging
Eerie soundtrack successfully emulates its horror movie inspirations
The Bad:
Localization quirks make for some unnatural dialogue
Final resolutions of character arcs too pat for such an unflinchingly dark mystery
Our Verdict:
Almost My Floor tells an interesting two-pronged horror/detective story with bold comic-book-style artwork and a mix of point-and-click puzzle solving, investigation, and timed action sequences that all work together extremely well.
